Waldwiese in Mahdental is a nature reserve with the number 1.030 designated by ordinance of the Stuttgart regional council of November 5, 1971 .

location

The nature reserve is located in the Schönbuch and Glemswald natural area and is about 2500 meters northwest of Musberg in the Mahdenbach valley . The protected area is part of the FFH area no. 7220-311 Glemswald and Stuttgarter Bucht and is completely surrounded by the protected landscape area no. 1.15.089 Glemswald .

Protection purpose

The protection purpose is the preservation of the unfertilized wet meadow with rich flora.

The forest meadow has a rich population of globe flowers and broad-leaved orchid orchids . The occurrence of the lung gentian is also worth mentioning . The plant species large star umbel , forest goat's beard and mountain knapweed grow on the adjacent wooded edge of the Mahdenbach .
