history

Chapel of St. John of Nepomuk

Straden was first mentioned in writing in 1348, when the town of Aussig destroyed the Priesten , Groß Kaudern and Straden feudal estates belonging to Hněvín Castle with the permission of Charles IV . In the 14th and 15th centuries, a festival was established in the row village . From 1536 the village belonged to the Kulm rule . In the berní rula of 1654, five farms and nine small farms are designated for Straden. In 1813 Straden had 180 inhabitants and consisted of 32 houses.

During the Napoleonic Wars , the first Russian and French troops clashed in the Battle of Kulm on August 29, 1813 near Straden. The village was on the battlefield and burned down completely, with the exception of the chapel. Until the middle of the 19th century, Priesten remained subordinate to the Kulm rule.

After the abolition of patrimonial Straden / Stradov formed from 1850 a municipality in the judicial district of Karbitz or in the district of Außenig . After the Munich Agreement , it was incorporated into the German Reich in 1938. In 1939, 250 people lived in the community in the district of Aussig . After the Second World War , the German population was expelled and the Czechs settled. In 1947 the community came to Okres Ústí nad Labem-okolí and since 1961 it has belonged again to Okres Ústí nad Labem. In 1979 the village was incorporated into Chlumec and with this together in 1986 to Ústí nad Labem . Since 1990 Stradov has been part of the Chlumec municipality again.
