The Suzuki GSX-RR is a racing motorcycle that was developed by Suzuki and will be used from 2015 in the MotoGP class, the highest prototype category of the FIM - Motorcycle Road World Championship .
phase of development
Former MotoGP rider Randy De Puniet was hired by Suzuki as a test driver in 2013 . The motorcycle finally made its debut in a race in the 2014 season . At the last run in Valencia , De Puniet started with a wildcard . As of the 2016 season , Suzuki is the last remaining manufacturer to use a so-called "seamless transmission". This makes it possible to change gears without interrupting traction.

2016

- At the fifth race of the season in France on the Bugatti Circuit , Maverick Viñales took third place, the first podium with his motorcycle. The last podium place for Suzuki in the motorcycle world championship comes from the 2008 season . In the Czech Republic at the Brno Circuit reached Loris Capirossi a third. Viñales finally achieved his first victory with the GSX-RR at the twelfth race of the season in Great Britain at the Silverstone Circuit . Most recently, a Suzuki in the 2007 season in Le Mans at the top of the podium.
