Türkvizyon 2015 ( Turkish Türk Dünyası Türkvizyon Şarkı Yarışması 2015 ) was the third Türkvizyon Song Contest . The show took place on December 19, 2015 in the Turkish metropolis of Istanbul with 21 participants. Kyrgyzstan won the competition with 194 points out of a possible 200.
venue
The Turkmen city of Mary was originally announced as the venue, as the title of Turkish Capital of Culture 2015 gives the right to host the competition. However, since no suitable premises are available in Mary, it was decided to move the competition to the capital, Ashgabat. Ultimately, the show was relocated to Istanbul, according to an interview with German participant Derya Kaptan, the Turkmen TV broadcaster Altyn Asyr was not interested in hosting it.
The Yahya Kemal Beyatlı Cultural Center is located in the Bağcılar district , approximately 5 kilometers north of the airport. The hall holds a total of 10,000 spectators.
Interval act & opening act
Zhanar Dugalowa won the Kazakhstan competition last year and performed the song "Menin kelisim" (My Consent). Burak Kut is known for his hits since the 1990s, he has released a total of five albums since 1994 and toured several times within Turkey. In early 2015 he released his newest single "Oldugu kadar olmadı kadar", which was composed by himself. Burak performed together with Sakis Rouvas on the border between the Republic of Cyprus and the Turkish Northern Cyprus to help bring the island parts closer together.
The show was opened by a phoenix dance performance and the march of the standard-bearers carrying the flags of the participants. Erkin Tursynhan, who represented Kazakhstan at the Bala Türkvizyon Song Contest and came second, and Aydin Nurdinow, who came fourth as a Kyrgyz participant, appeared after the Bulgarian performance (start number 6) and before the Georgian entry (start number 7).
Attendees
On September 10th, the names of the 25 participating nations and regions were announced on the official website of the competition. Two ethnic groups were subsequently nominated as participants: the Nogai under the name of the Stavropol region and the Kumyks . The Nogai and Stavropol Oblast withdrew their participation under pressure from the Russian government on December 3, 2015, but want to participate in 2016. Northern Cyprus , whose participant could not enter Russia in 2014 because only Turkey recognizes Northern Cyprus, returned to the competition.
The Russian Altai Republic , like Kosovo and Belarus, was originally supposed to return to the competition in 2015, but had to cancel by order of the Russian government due to the current tensions between Turkey and Russia. At the end of November / beginning of December, Bashkortostan, Yakutia, Tuva, Stavropol Oblast and Khakassia also announced that they would face pressure from the Russian government and cancel their participation in the Türkvizyon and Bala Türkvizyon Song Contest. On December 7th, Tatarstan also withdrew its participation. On the same day it was announced that all other regions of Russia and the Kumyks would not participate either, including the Crimea annexed by Russia. Turkmenistan, which according to initial plans should not only take part, but also host the show, was ultimately no longer on the list of participants.
Syria and the Serbian region of Sandžak participated for the first time. With 21 participants this was the smallest Türkvizyon song contest of all time. Due to the small number of participants, there was no semifinal in 2015. The event started at 3:30 p.m. CET. The starting order was sorted alphabetically according to the Turkish names of the countries.

On December 15, 2015, a competition for children between the ages of eight and 15 took place for the first time, called Bala Türkvizyon . Similar to the Junior Eurovision Song Contest , the participants must sing in their national language and are not allowed to exceed or fall below the age limit. 13 countries took part in the competition in the Turkish metropolis of Istanbul . Like the adult competition, the event was originally supposed to take place in Mary (Turkmenistan), but was then moved to Istanbul for reasons not mentioned. The competition was won by Azerbaijan and the participants Nuray Rahman & Ahmed Amirli.
