history

Parish Church of St. Peter and Paul

Tuntschendorf was first mentioned in 1348 as Tolmaczindorf . In 1352 it was handed down as Tolmetschendorf and in 1401 as Tulmaczindorf . It belonged to the Neurode district in the Glatzer Land , with which it shared the history of its political and ecclesiastical affiliation from the beginning. For 1384 it is recorded in a register of the Archdiocese of Prague with a parish church. It originally consisted of several parts, which mostly belonged to different owners:

  • The Reichenbach manor was initially a fiefdom that was later converted into a free inheritance. 1536 it belonged to the Glatzer Castle Count Heinrich von Haugwitz , 1580 the Carl von Tschischwitz, 1610 the Caspar von Reichenbach , 1654 the Wolfgang Heinrich von Schenkendorfstraße, 1664 the captain of the rule Politz , Johann Georg Mathäs. 1665 it acquired the Glatzer Governor John George of idols from the Catholic Silesian line of those idols .
  • Owners of the so-called Pannwitz'schen Rittergut were: 1560 Heinrich von Predel, 1570 W. von Haugwitz, 1609 Ernst von Schaffgotsch on Kynast , 1618 Tobias von Elbel, 1625 Hans Heinrich von Langenau, 1637 Ernst Christian von Pannwitz, 1654 Wolfgang Heinrich von Schenkendorf, 1684 Johann Ernst von Götzen, a son of Johann Georg von Götzen.
  • After several changes of ownership, the Freirichtgut was owned by Maximilian von Kochtizky auf Scharfeneck , and from 1661 Johann Georg von Götzen. After the line of the Catholic Silesian imperial count von Götzen in 1771 with Johann Joseph ( Leonhard ) in the male line, their above-mentioned possessions came in 1780 to Anton Alexander von Magnis on Eckersdorf .
  • The so-called Rittersitz Turmgut was a fiefdom that was owned by the von Maltitz family from the 14th century to 1470 . Later it was owned by the von Tscheterwang, von Haugwitz, von Reichenbach and von Kochtitzky families. In 1661 it came to Johann Georg von Götzen, who bequeathed it to his descendants. When the County of Glatz passed to Prussia after the First Silesian War in 1742 and finally after the Peace of Hubertusburg in 1763 , the tower property fell to the Prussian King Frederick the Great as a settled fief after the death of Johann Joseph ( Leonhard ) von Götzen . He gave this fiefdom to his adjutant general and governor von Glatz Friedrich Wilhelm von Götzen the Elder. Ä. from the evangelical Silesian line of those von Götzen. After his death, the Tuntschendorfer fiefdom inherited his eldest son Adolf Sigismund Graf von Götzen († 1847).

After the reorganization of Prussia, Tuntschendorf belonged to the province of Silesia from 1815 , which was divided into districts. The district of Glatz was responsible from 1816–1853, and the district of Neurode from 1854–1932 . After its dissolution in 1933, Tuntschendorf was again part of the Glatz district until 1945. Since 1874, the rural community of Tuntschendorf, together with the estate districts of Pannwitzhof, Rudelsdorf, Scheidewinkel, shares of Edelhof and Moschner, formed the Tuntschendorf district . In 1939 it consisted of 906 residents.

As a result of the Second World War , Tuntschendorf and most of Silesia fell to Poland in 1945. It was first renamed Tuczyn and later Tłumaczów . The German population was expelled unless they had already fled . Some of the newly settled residents were displaced from eastern Poland . 1975-1998 Tłumaczów belonged to the Wałbrzych Voivodeship ( Waldenburg ).
