Tine Deckers (born July 5, 1978 ) is a Belgian triathlete and multiple Ironman winner (2009, 2010, 2012, 2014 and 2016).

Career

Tine Deckers has competed in triathlon since 2005 and in the first year she became Belgian triathlon champion (alongside Luc Van Lierde in the men).

Long distance triathlon since 2009

In 2009 she won the Ironman long distance in Nice (3.86 km swimming, 180.2 km cycling and 42.195 km running). In June 2010 and again in 2012 she was able to successfully defend this title.

After a baby break, she started again at Ironman 70.3 Lanzarote in October 2013 and finished fourth. In June 2014, she scored her fourth victory in Nice - with a new course record and personal best.

Fifth Ironman European Championships 2015

At the Ironman European Championships in July 2015 in Frankfurt, she was seventh.

In June 2016 she was able to win the Ironman France in Nice for the fifth time. Tine Deckers is trained by Pieter Timmermans . She started the Ironman Hawaii in October but couldn't finish the race.

Triathlon winner EDF Alpe d'Huez 2017

In July 2017, the 39-year-old was the first Belgian female triathlete to win the EDF Alpe d'Huez triathlon on the long distance (2.2 km swimming, 118 km cycling and 20 km running).

In June 2019 she finished second at Ironman France .

Tine Deckers lives in Wijgmaal with her husband and son .
