life and career

Simpkins was born in 2001, the youngest of three children. Simpkins had his first essential role at the age of three weeks, when he was seen in a recurring role in three episodes in the long-running soap opera Love, Lies, Passion and then also in another role in one episode. In the same year he was included in the cast of the long-term production of the soap opera Springfield Story , where he played Jude Cooper Bauer , the son of the two characters Dr. Fredrick "Rick" Bauer (played by Michael O'Leary ) and Harley Cooper (played by Beth Ehlers ). After he was removed from the production of the series in 2005, Aaron Hart slipped into his role, followed by Robert Danza junior , who took over the role in 2007, after Hart's departure, and was briefly seen in it until 2008. He also made an appearance in an episode of Criminal Intent in 2005 and was also used in a small role in Steven Spielberg's War of the Worlds .

2006 followed for the boy a major role in the film Little Children , and a small role in The Game of Power , followed by 2007, when Simpkins was not seen in any major production. This changed a year later, after he did not spend a single creative break in 2007, but was involved in shooting various productions. So he was finally seen in the film Gardens of the Night at the side of his sister, who took on one of the leading roles in the film. Simpkins also appeared in one episode each of CSI - The Criminals on the Trail and Private Practice , as well as appearances in the films The Law of Honor , where he was again to be seen at the side of his older sister and both the children in the lead role Jimmy Egan (played by Colin Farrell ) impersonated. Also in 2008, the film appeared Revolutionary Road , where the boy once again alongside his sister was used and both the children of the main characters Frank Wheeler (played by Leonardo DiCaprio ) and April Wheeler (played by Kate Winslet ) mimed. Another successful time followed for Ty Simpkins in 2009 when he took on a leading role or an essential supporting role in various films. Among other things, he was seen in the films Family of Four and Abracadabra .

In 2010, other major roles followed in the films Insidious , Sitters Street and 72 hours - The Next Three Days . In the latter film, he played the son of John Brennan (played by Russell Crowe ) and his wife Lara Brennan (played by Elizabeth Banks ). In the short film Sitters Street , he was seen for the fourth time at the side of his older sister Ryan, who was not only active as an actress in this film, but also wrote part of the script , and was engaged as a co-producer and second director . Another film that Ty Simpkins starred in was Extracted , which came out in 2011. In 2013 he was seen in Insidious: Chapter 2 by James Wan and in Iron Man 3 by Shane Black . In 2015 Simpkins starred in the role of Gray, a nephew of Claire Dearing, in the film Jurassic World .

Simpkins has also appeared in various commercials and music videos, as well as in advertisements in print media. He was involved not only in advertising campaigns in the United States, but also for various campaigns in Europe.
