The U20 national ice hockey team of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) took part in the 1992 junior ice hockey world championship and won the gold medal. The team, whose roster also included players from Latvia and Lithuania and was thus almost identical to that of the former Soviet team , started the tournament under the name and flag of the USSR.

In the course of 1992 the U20 selection of the CIS was replaced by the Russian U20 national ice hockey team .
