Ulrich Beier
Ulrich Beier (born August 17, 1928 in Flensburg ; † June 7, 1981 in Reinbek near Hamburg) was a northern German sculptor who enjoyed a considerable reputation in his Schleswig-Holstein and Hamburg region.
Growing up in Flensburg, Ulrich Beier made an apprenticeship in wood carving with Christian Brodersen in this border town from 1945 to 1948 and continued his training by studying sculpture from 1948 to 1952 in the workshops of the Hamburg construction group with Maillol student Richard Steffen (1903-1964). In 1952 he received an Ernst Preczang scholarship in Lucerne . Until 1958 he worked as an assistant to his former lecturer Richard Steffen and at the same time as a freelance sculptor in Hamburg. Ulrich Beier had been a member of Group 56 in Schleswig-Holstein since 1962 . In 1976/77 he worked in the USA. Ulrich Beier was a member of the Federal Association of Visual Artists (BBK).

- 1980/81 Sculpture group wind-fire-water ( marble ), location: Provinzial-Versicherung , Kiel, Sophienblatt 33. The sculpture group was completed by Hans Kock after the death of Ulrich Beier.
