The Universidad Francisco de Vitoria (UFV) is a private , state-recognized university based in Madrid .
history
The forerunner of the Universidad Francisco de Vitoria was founded in 1992 as the university center of the largest and oldest university in Madrid, the Complutense University of Madrid . Studies began in 1993. In 2001 it received state recognition as a private university. As a Catholic university, it is supported by the religious order of the Legionaries of Christ and is part of the Red de Universidades Anáhuac .
University
There are around 3700 students (2700 Bachelor / 1000 Master), 600 of them are enrolled in international programs. The campus is located in Pozuelo de Alarcón near Madrid .
The motto Vince in bono malum. is derived from Noli vinci a malo, sed vince in bono malum. ( Romans 12:21), in German: Do not allow yourself to be overcome by evil, but overcome evil through good! .
