Urs Fuchs (* 1955 ) is a German musician , multi-instrumentalist , music producer and composer . He mainly plays bass and percussion instruments . As a studio and live musician, he is involved in many, partly international, productions by other renowned musicians and is active in various band projects. So far he has released two albums under his own name .

Fuchs comes from the Saarland , lived for some time in the Westerwald and now lives in Leverkusen . He is married.

life and work

Fuchs originally learned a social profession and worked in it for a few years before he turned more and more to music and finally became a professional musician . In the course of his career he played with Sally Oldfield , Anni-Frid Lyngstad , Miller Anderson , Charlie Mariano , Clannad , Nippy Noya , Peter Kraus , Wolfgang Niedecken and Cathy Kelly . He also worked as the bassist of Jon Lord , known as a co-founder of the rock band Deep Purple , in the mid-2000s for his solo album Beyond the Notes and accompanied him on various European tours.

Fuchs is closely associated with the German band Farfarello and has recorded over ten albums with them. He was a guest musician there as early as the 1990s. After a long hiatus, he has been filling this role again for several years.

Fuchs has been working with the harpist Ulla van Daelen since the early 2000s and is still working as a bassist and percussionist in her live and studio projects, including the recording of her albums Surprise (2002), Metharphosis (2005) and Harp & Glory (2011) and For Christmas (2013).

Also as a bass player, he was a member of Talking Water around the Scottish guitarist Ian Melrose and the Norwegian-German singer and guitarist Kerstin Blodig (now Kelpie ) with Wolfram Cramer von Clausbruch on drums. With Talking Water , the album Power of the Moon was created in 2006 .

Together with violinist Thomas Kagermann and singer Andrea Leonhardi , Fuchs founded the music projects Tau Music and Zebra Sommerwind, which are based on “ spiritual world music. Fuchs also runs two other projects, Heaven's Joy and N'joy Paradise.
