Vercurago is a municipality in the province of Lecco in the Italian region of Lombardy with 2819 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019).

geography

Vercurago is about 4 km southeast of the provincial capital Lecco and 45 km northeast of the metropolis of Milan . The parish includes the two fractions Folla and Somasca, the founding place of the Somaskan order with the sanctuary of San Girolamo Emiliani .

The neighboring communities are Calolziocorte , Erve , Garlate , Lecco and Olginate .

It is located on the east bank of the Lago di Garlate through which the Adda flows.
