geography

The place is on the eastern bank of Lake Como at the northern end of Valsassina , where the Pioverna forms a gorge just before the mouth and includes the fractions Biosio , Bonzeno , Costa , Grabbia , Lezzeno , Ombriaco , Oro , Pendaglio , Pennaso , Pradello , Rivalba and Verginate . The neighboring municipalities are Dervio , Parlasco , Perledo , San Siro and Vendrogno .
