Transfiguration Church
Transfiguration Church or Savior Transfiguration Church u. Ä. Churches and chapels that are consecrated or named after the mystery of faith of the transfiguration of the Lord ( transfiguration of Jesus, Christ's transfiguration , older transformation of Christ ), a scene from Revelation.
Day of the patronage is August 6th, August 19th in Gregorian .
- In the Armenian (there also the 7th Sunday after Trinity as a festival day) and Syriac Orthodox Church it is the main festival.
- The festival, which had already spread in the 10th century, has been catholic and liturgical since 1457 . Cardinal title is Trasfigurazione di Nostro Signore Gesù Cristo (since 2001)
