The Neuhaus - Ilmenau II constituency was a state electoral district for the state election in Thuringia in 1990 , the first state election after the reestablishment of the state of Thuringia. Its constituency number was 40.

The constituency comprised the entire district of Neuhaus am Rennweg with the cities and communities Buchbach , Cursdorf , Deesbach , Ernstthal , Gebersdorf , Goldisthal , Gräfenthal , Großneundorf , Katzhütte , Lauscha , Lichte , Lichtenhain b. Gräfenthal , Lichtenhain / Bergbahn , Lippelsdorf , Mellenbach-Glasbach , Meura , Meuselbach-Schwarzmühle , Neuhaus am Rennweg , Oberweißbach / Thür. Wald , Piesau , Reichmannsdorf , Scheibe-Alsbach , Schmiedefeld , Siegmundsburg , Spechtsbrunn , Steinheid and Unterweißbach as well as from the then district of Ilmenau the following cities and communities: Altenfeld , Böhlen , Friedersdorf , Gillersdorf , Großbreitenbach , Möhrenbach and Wildenspring .
