The constituency of Suhl, Land - Schmalkalden II was a state electoral district for the state election in Thuringia in 1990 , the first state election after the re-establishment of the state of Thuringia. Its constituency number was 43.

The constituency comprised the entire district of Suhl-Land at that time with the cities and communities of Ahlstädt , Albrechts , Altendambach , Benshausen , Bischofrod , Breitenbach , Christes , Dietzhausen , Dillstädt , Ebertshausen , Eichenberg , Erlau , Gehlberg , Gethles , Grub , Hinternah , Hirschbach , Kühndorf , Marisfeld , Oberhof , Oberstadt , Rappelsdorf , Ratscher , Rohr , Sankt Kilian , Schleusingen , Schleusingerneundorf , Schmeheim , Schwarza , Viernau , Wichtshausen , Zella-Mehlis as well as the municipalities of Bermbach , Oberschönau , Steinbach-Hallenberg and Unterschönau from the then Schmalkalden district .
