The Nordic Combined World Cup season 1985/86 began on December 21, 1985 in Tarvisio, Italy, and ended on March 22, 1986 in Štrbské Pleso , in today's Slovakia . During the season , the winner of the overall World Cup was determined in seven World Cup events, all of which were decided according to the Gundersen method .

With his four World Cup successes, two second places and one third place, the German Hermann Weinbuch landed on the podium at every World Cup and was thus able to win the overall ranking well ahead of his team mate Thomas Müller . Third place went to last year's winner Geir Andersen , who could only win one World Cup this season. This was also the last World Cup success in his career.

Hallstein Bøgseth from Norway celebrated his first and only World Cup success at the legendary Holmenkollen near Oslo . The Austrian Klaus Sulzenbacher and the Swiss Fredy Glanzmann took care of the other German-speaking podium places, thus securing the first podium place for Switzerland .

World Cup final score and placements

The table gives an overview of the placements achieved during the season of the Nordic combined athletes who have received at least one World Cup point (up to 15th place). The table only contains the positions in the point ranks, as only these are given in the result lists linked below. In the absence of information, it is therefore not possible to make a statement as to whether the athlete did not take part in the World Cup or did not achieve the points alone.
