The World Cup season 2020/21 the Nordic Combined (official sponsors Name: Viessmann FIS World Cup ) to November 27, 2020 Ruka start and expected to be on March 21, 2020 Schonach end. The season for the Nordic World Ski Championships in Oberstdorf will be interrupted from February 23 to March 7, 2021.
This winter, for the first time, a women's series, which includes five competitions, will be held. The American Tara Geraghty-Moats is the favorite for the season. The top favorite and defending champion in the men's category is Jarl Magnus Riiber who has dominated the past two seasons .
Below the World Cup, the Nordic Combined Continental Cup 2020/21 will be the second highest competition series of the winter.

Germany
The DSV announced its squad allocation for the 2020/21 season in May 2020. The athletes were divided into five course groups. In addition to course groups 1a, 1b and 2a and the support team, 18 athletes were also nominated for course group 2b. After the 2019/20 season there were personnel changes in the coaching team, so that the previous jumping coach Ronny Ackermann was replaced by Heinz Kuttin .

The ÖSV announced its squad allocation for the 2020/21 season in Innsbruck at the beginning of May 2020. The athletes were divided into four squads. The line-up of the national team has not changed compared to the previous season. Paul Gerstgraser ended his career.

After Switzerland did not set up a squad for Nordic combined in the preseason, one athlete got C-Team status for the 2020/21 season.

The Japanese Ski Association only gave Aktito Watabe an A status for the 2020/21 season . The remaining athletes are divided into U40, U25, U23, U20 and U17 according to age categories.

USA Nordic announced its cadre division back in April. The squad has been reduced from four to a men's national team and a junior national team. Jed Hinkley became the new sports director. At the end of June, the USA signed Chris Gilbertson as a ski jumping coach.

Slovenia
The Slovenian A-team has been expanded to include two athletes with Rok Jelen . As part of the squad announcement, the financial report was also published, according to which the association closed the last season with a loss of around 100,000 euros due to the COVID-19 pandemic .
Russia
The Russian Ministry of Sports approved the following cadres for the 2019/20 season: Alexander Paschajew announced the end of his career a few weeks later.
Ukraine
The Ukrainian national team for the 2020/21 season consists of five athletes. The list of candidates for the 2022 Winter Olympics is currently headed by Viktor Passitschnyk, followed by Dmytro Masurchuk .
Poland
The Polish Ski Association PZN nominated only one athlete, Szczepan Kupczak, for the A-Team. This was also due to the fact that with Adam Cieślar , Paweł Twardosz and Wojciech Marusarz three athletes ended their careers. For this reason, Kupczak has been training with the Czech national team since the preparations for the 2020/21 season. The youth will continue to be trained in Poland by Tomisław Tajner . Also Piotr Kudzia joined the training group.

The South Korean national team consists only of Park Je-un . The South Koreans are also currently lacking athletes in the youth sector.

In May 2020, the DSV announced the first squad division in its history for the women's Nordic combined. Six athletes were nominated for the 2020/21 season. The date in the Ski Jumping World Cup active Svenja Würth joined the Nordic combined.
