In the 1985/86 season , the Biathlon World Cup was held for the 9th time. The competition series in biathlon consisted of five individual, sprint and relay races for men and was held at five venues. The five World Cup events took place in Antholz , Feistritz , Oberhof , Lahti and Boden . The world championships were held for the men in Oslo, Norway, and for the women in Falun, Sweden , but the results were not included in the World Cup ranking. André Sehmisch won the overall men's world cup ahead of Peter Angerer and Matthias Jacob .
