West Bradenton is a census-designated place (CDP) in Manatee County in the US state of Florida with 4192 inhabitants (as of 2010).
geography
West Bradenton lies on the south bank of the Manatee River at its confluence with the Gulf of Mexico . The CDP borders directly on the city of Bradenton in the east , is about 60 km south of Tampa and is affected by Florida State Road 64 .
Demographic data
According to the 2010 census, the 4192 inhabitants at that time were distributed among 1927 households. The population density was 1197.7 inh / km². 93.8% of the population identified themselves as whites, 0.8% as African American , 0.5% as Indians and 1.3% as Asian Americans . 1.7% said they belonged to another ethnic group and 1.8% to several ethnic groups. 4.7% of the population was made up of Hispanics or Latinos .
In 2010 children under the age of 18 lived in 31.2% of all households and persons aged 65 or over lived in 30.1% of all households. 72.7% of households were family households (consisting of married couples with or without offspring or one parent with offspring).
