William F. Griffin

William F. Griffin (born before 1856; died after 1860) was an American politician . In 1859 and 1860 he was lieutenant governor of the state of Louisiana .

Life

There are virtually no sources about William Griffin. He was a member of the Democratic Party and from 1856 to 1860 President Pro Tempore of the Senate of Louisiana . Following the resignation of Lieutenant Governor Charles Homer Mouton, he was promoted to this post in accordance with the constitution, which he held in 1859 and 1860. He was Deputy Governor Robert C. Wickliffe and Chairman of the State Senate. Then his track is lost again.
