Wolfson College (Oxford)
The Wolfson College in Oxford is the largest Graduate College of the University of Oxford . The 1960s buildings are picturesquely located north of the city, on the banks of the Cherwell River, on a side street off Banbury Road. Originally founded as Iffley College in 1965, the institute was renamed the following year after Sir Isaac Wolfson, who had made a substantial donation to the college.
Wolfson's egalitarian approach, which goes back to its founding president Isaiah Berlin , is remarkable .
Unlike at other colleges, where members are divided into Senior Common Room (lecturers), Middle Common Room (graduates) and Junior Common Room (undergraduate students), all members have equal voting rights in Wolfson.
As a graduate college, the disciplines are very mixed and the college has a large proportion of international students.
