World Marathon Majors 2016/17
The tenth series of the World Marathon Majors started in April 2016 and ended in April 2017.
Rating
Eight races are included in the evaluation of this running cup : the Boston , London , Berlin , Chicago and New York City Marathon 2016 and the Tokyo Marathon and Boston Marathon 2017, as well as the Marathon of the 2016 summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro .
Points are awarded as follows, with a maximum of two results being scored for each runner:
- 25 for a win
- 16 for a secondary placement
- 9 for a third place
- 4 for a fourth place
- 1 for fifth place
