The seventh series of the World Marathon Majors started on April 16, 2012 and ended on November 3, 2013.
Rating
Thirteen races were included in the ranking of this running cup : the Boston , London , Berlin , Chicago and New York City marathons in 2012 and 2013, the 2013 Tokyo marathon and the marathon the 2012 Summer Olympics in London and the 2013 World Athletics Championships in Moscow.
The 2012 New York City Marathon was canceled due to the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy .
Points were awarded as follows, with a maximum of four results being scored for each runner:
- 25 for a win
- 15 for a second place
- 10 for a third place
- 5 for fourth place
- 1 for fifth place
Tsegay Kebede prevailed in the men and Priscah Jeptoo won in the women . Both received $ 500,000 in prize money.
