history
The place did not emerge until the 19th century when Baron Leopold Popper von Podhragy opened a wood and sawmill in the village of Pacyków (today: Pazykiw in Ukrainian), which has been incorporated into Wyhoda since 1966. Due to the inconsistency and inefficiency of the delivery, a railway was built between Dolyna and Vygoda in 1883 (see Stryj – Ivano – Frankivsk railway line ). This year is also the official founding year of today's settlement. At the turn of the century, the place developed very quickly due to its good infrastructure, and a chemical plant was also opened. After the end of the First World War it came to Poland and was first occupied by the Soviet Union during World War II and by Germany from 1941 to 1944 . During the first occupation by the Soviet Union, Wyhoda was given urban-type settlement status in 1940.
In 1945 the city came back to the Soviet Union , there it became part of the Ukrainian SSR and has been part of today's Ukraine since 1991.
