Yabluniv ( Ukrainian Яблунів ; Russian Яблонов Jablonow , polish Jablonow ) is in the West Ukraine lying urban-type with about 2000 inhabitants. It is located on the banks of the Lyuchka ( Лючка ), about 82 kilometers southeast of the Oblast capital Ivano-Frankivsk and 15 kilometers northwest of the Rajons capital Kosiv .
Yabluniv formed by 2015 the settlement council municipality of the same name, on April 25, 2017, the settlement became the center of the newly established settlement community Yabluniv ( Яблунівська селищна громада Jabluniwska selyschtschna hromada ) to this are also the five villages Akreschory ( Акрешори ) Ljutscha ( Люча ) Stoptschatiw , Tekutsche ( Текуче ) and Utoropy ( Уторопи ).
history
The place was mentioned in writing for the first time in 1593, received Magdeburg town charter in 1602 and belonged to Austrian Galicia from 1772 to 1918 under its Polish name Jabłonów (derived from the Polish noble family Jabłonowski ) , in 1907 the seat of a district court for the Peczeniżyn district was established in the place. After the end of the First World War, the place came to Poland and was here from 1921 in the Stanislau Voivodeship , Powiat Kołomyja. After the beginning of the Second World War, the place was only occupied by the Soviet Union as part of the Hitler-Stalin Pact and from 1941 to 1944 by Germany , which incorporated the place into the district of Galicia .
In 1945 the village came back to the Soviet Union. There it became part of the Ukrainian SSR and has been part of independent Ukraine since 1991. The place now called Jabluniw received the status of an urban-type settlement during the Soviet period in 1940.
