Broshniv-Osada (Ukrainian Брошнів-Осада ; Russian Брошнев-Осада / Broschnew-Ossada , Polish Broszniów Osada / kolonia ) is in the West Ukraine lying urban settlement type about 40 kilometers west of the Oblasthauptstadt Ivano-Frankiwsk and 7 kilometers north of the Rajonshauptstadt Rozhniativ on River Sywka .
On 30 July 2017, the settlement to the center of the newly formed was settlement community Broshniv-Osada (Брошнів-Осадська селищна громада / Broschniw-Ossadska silska hromada ) to this are also the three villages Broschniw (Брошнів, from August 3, 2018), Kadobna (Кадобна) and Krechowytschi (Креховичі), until then it formed the settlement council of the same name.
A sawmill was built in the area of Broschniw (then Broszniów in Polish ) on the site of the present location in 1890 . A workers 'settlement was built around the sawmill, during the Polish Republic the company developed into a large enterprise, in 1935 the workers' settlement became an independent district of Gmina Broszniów under the name Broszniów osada . With the beginning of the Second World War in 1939, eastern Poland was occupied by the Soviet Union and in 1940 the place was declared an urban-type settlement. Between 1941 and 1944 the area was then occupied by Germany , which incorporated the place into the Galicia district under the name of Broszniów kolonia .
In 1945 the place came again to the Soviet Union , there it became part of the Ukrainian SSR and has been part of today's Ukraine since 1991.
Starting in 1900, the Broschniw forest railway ran south from the sawmill into the Carpathian forests, and until the 1990s there was still a line via Roschnjatiw , Perehinske to Osmoloda (with a branch line via Mishhirja to Huta and Dswynjatsch ).
