Zazdrość ( German  Louisenthal ) is a place in the Polish Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship in the area of the rural community Dźwierzuty (Mensguth) in the powiat Szczycieński ( Ortelsburg district ).

Geographical location

Zazdrość is located in the southern center of the Warmia-Masurian Voivodeship , 17 kilometers north of the district town of Szczytno ( Ortelsburg in German  ).

history

Louisenthal originally consisted of a middle court. Until 1945 it was an outbuilding and residential area of Theerwisch ( Polish : Targowo ) in the East Prussian district of Ortelsburg .

When the whole of southern East Prussia was transferred to Poland in 1945 as a result of the war , Louisenthal was also affected. It was given the Polish form of the name "Zazdrość" and is today "część wsi Targowo" (= part of the village of Targowo) within the rural community of Dźwierzuty (Mensguth) in the powiat Szczycieński ( Ortelsburg district ), until 1998 of the Olsztyn Voivodeship , since then of the Warmia Voivodeship Masuria belonging.

church

Until 1945 Louisenthal was incorporated into the Protestant church Theerwisch (Polish : Targowo ) in the church province of East Prussia of the Church of the Old Prussian Union and into the Catholic church of Mensguth ( Dźwierzuty ) in what was then the Diocese of Warmia .

Today Zazdrość belongs to the Catholic parish church of Targowo in what is now the Archdiocese of Warmia , and also to the Evangelical Church of Dźwierzuty , a branch church of the Pasym parish (Passenheim) in the Masurian diocese of the Evangelical-Augsburg Church in Poland .

traffic

Zazdrość is located on a side road that connects the Polish state road 52 (former German Reichsstraße 128 ) at Dźwierzuty (Mensguth village) with the voivodship road 600 at Orzyny (Erben) . There is no connection to rail traffic .
