Zoë Isabella Kravitz (born December 1, 1988 in Los Angeles , California ) is an American actress , musician , and model .

Life and accomplishments

Zoë Kravitz is the daughter of the musician Lenny Kravitz and the actress Lisa Bonet . She is of both African American and Jewish descent. She made her debut as a film actress opposite Catherine Zeta-Jones and Aaron Eckhart in the comedy Recipe to Fall in Love (2007). In the thriller The Stranger in You (2007) she played alongside Jodie Foster . In the high school comedy Long Legs, Short Lies, and a Glimmer of Truth ... (2008), she appeared alongside Reece Thompson , Bruce Willis and Mischa Barton . She starred in the comedy Birds of America (2008) with Matthew Perry , Lauren Graham and Hilary Swank .

In 2017 she was accepted into the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS), which awards the Oscars every year. In 2018, Kravitz took on the role of Leta Lestrange in the film Fantastic Beasts: Grindelwald's Crimes .

Kravitz lives in New York , where she studied acting at State University .

Her father Lenny Kravitz wrote the song Flowers for Zoe as a lullaby for her.
