The list of football players with at least 100 international matches (also called the Hundreds Club or Club of Hundreds ) lists all male football players who may a. According to the world football association FIFA, you have played 100 or more A international matches for a national football team (as of June 30, 2020). For the current 518 football players from 103 associations, the ranking position, nationality , continental association , position on the field, the number of international matches and the period in which he played the games, as well as - if known - the date and the Opponent of the 100th international match called.

The record international is the Egyptian Ahmed Hassan , who made his 179th of a total of 184 international matches on February 27, 2012, ahead of the Saudi Arabian goalkeeper Mohammad ad-Daʿayyaʿ and the Mexican defender Claudio Suárez , who played 178 and 177 FIFA-recognized games respectively to have.

The English footballer Billy Wright was in 1959 the first footballer ever to put it in 100 international matches, including 32 in the British Home Championship . He played 8.3 games a year, while the current record holder brought it to 11.2 games a year. The second player who came to 100 international matches, the Norwegian Thorbjørn Svenssen played many (40) of his 100 games in an annual local soccer tournament, the Nordic Championships . By the end of the 1970s there were only seven players, six of them from Europe and Cha Bum-kun from South Korea. At the end of the 1980s there were 14, including 11 Europeans. After that, the number of games also increased due to the collapse of the Eastern Bloc , which greatly increased the number of FIFA members. Sun took part in the qualifiers for Euro 1988 in some 32 teams in the qualifiers for Euro 2008 , there were already 50. In Africa, Asia and Oceania increased the number of FIFA members. On the qualification for the World Cup 1990 110 organizations participated, for the Football World Cup 2014 202 teams had registered. The number of international matches played around the world rose from 387 in 1987 to 1,064 in 2004. The number of players used in test matches also increased, with FIFA again regulating the maximum number of substitutions in February 2004, so that now only a maximum of six substitutions per team are possible in one counted by FIFA. In addition, there are tactical substitutions in the last minutes of the game, which lead to stakes of a few minutes, but which are counted as an international match. Therefore, a direct comparison of statistics from different epochs has to be put into perspective with regard to these changed framework conditions.

Until October 9, 1977, there was never more than one active player with at least 100 games. In 2012, 65 players were used who had played at least 100 international matches. The youngest player in his 100th international match was the South Korean Cha Bum-kun at 24 years and 140 days, who also completed the 100 games in the shortest possible time (5 years and 71 days). Andris Vaņins took the longest to play 100 games: 19 years and 248 days. The youngest player of a European national team is Sergio Ramos , who played his 100th game for the Spanish national soccer team on March 22, 2013 at the age of 26 years and 357 days. The youngest South American player is Lionel Messi , who played his 100th international match on June 20, 2015, four days before his 28th birthday. The oldest player was the Ecuadorian Luis Capurro , who was 41 years and 284 days old at his 100th and last international match.

Spanish goalkeeper Iker Casillas is the first player to win 100 international matches. The second and first outfield player is his compatriot Xavi , who won his 100th international match against El Salvador on June 7, 2014. Sergio Ramos also succeeded in doing this on September 8, 2015 . On the other hand, Liechtenstein's Mario Frick is the first player to lose 100 international matches (100th defeat on October 12, 2015 in Vienna against Austria ). His compatriot and current record international goalkeeper Peter Jehle left the place as a loser in an international match for the 100th time in an 8-0 draw against Spain on September 5, 2017.

The New Zealand federation still lists the players Steve Sumner with 105 and Brian Turner with 102 internationals, but most of these are not recognized by FIFA as official internationals because they were played against club teams or regional New Zealand teams.

As part of the European Championship qualification on October 7, 2011, UEFA awarded souvenir caps and medals to players who have played at least 100 international matches. The list of honored players also includes players for whom FIFA does not recognize all matches as A international matches.

In the 2014 World Cup, more than 100 active players with at least 100 international matches were played for the first time, 43 of which were also used at the World Cup .

In the run-up to the 2018 World Cup, Ronald Raldes was the first Bolivian to make his 100th international match, which means that all CONMEBOL members now have at least a "hundred". Jan Vertonghen has been the first Belgian "Hundred" since June 2, 2018 and Phil Younghusband has been the first Filipino player with 100 international matches since November 13. In the first match of qualification for the Euro 2020 record goal scorer Edin Džeko made his 100th international match as the first player from Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The following list contains ten players who are no longer featured in FIFA with more than 100 international matches. According to a FIFA regulation from 1999, matches played in the framework of the Olympic football tournament after 1948 are no longer counted as A-international matches. Eastern European national teams are particularly affected by this regulation, as they dominated events at the Olympics with their state amateurs . Due to the cancellation of these international matches, several players slipped out of the club of the hundreds who were listed there until 1999. However, depending on the inclusion of the Olympics, these are given in the literature with more than 100 international matches. In its statistics of record players, the German Football Association lists further Olympic selection games of the GDR footballers that were not even counted as A international games by the German Football Association until its dissolution . This is why, for example, both Hans-Jürgen Dörner and Joachim Streich have 105 appearances in the GDR's national teams on the DFB website. With this counting method, 102 games are even given out for Jürgen Croy .
