The first written mention of České Heřmanice is from 1226. The greatest prosperity occurred during the rule of Bohuněk of Adršpach in 1460–1506. During this period, České Heřmanice was promoted to a [[Městys|market town]]. České Heřmanice (German: Böhmisch Hermanitz) is a market town in Ústí nad Orlicí District in the Pardubice Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 600 inhabitants.
