Șerban Ciochină

Șerban Ciochină (born November 30, 1939 in Bucharest ) is a former Romanian triple jumper .

At the European Athletics Championships in Belgrade in 1962 , he was eliminated from the qualification, and at the 1964 Olympic Games in Tokyo he was fifth.

In 1966 he won the European Indoor Games in Dortmund and was seventh at the European Championships in Budapest . At the European Indoor Games in 1967 in Prague, he failed in qualifying.

In 1968 he came in fourth at the European Indoor Games in Madrid and 13th at the Olympic Games in Mexico City .

At the European Indoor Athletics Championships he won bronze in Vienna in 1970 and was tenth in Sofia in 1971 .

From 1963 to 1968 he was six times in a row Romanian champion and 1968 English champion. He set his personal best of 16.59 m on June 4, 1967 in Sofia .
