Shamil Erfanovich Abbyasov ( Russian Шамиль Эрфанович Аббясов , English transcription Shamil Erfanovich Abbyasov ; born April 16, 1957 ) is a former Kyrgyz long and three jumper who competed for the Soviet Union .

At the European Athletics Indoor Championships in 1981 in Grenoble , he won the triple jump and won bronze in the long jump. In the same year he was third in the long jump at the World Cup in Athletics .

In 1980 he became the Soviet long jump champion.

Life

Shamil Abbyassov is married to Tatiana Kolpakowa , the 1980 Olympic long jump champion. The couple has three children.
