The 1st Division 2010 was the 19th season of the second highest Russian league in football. It started on March 27, 2010 and ended on November 6, 2010.

mode

The 20 teams played against each other twice, divided into a first half and a second half. So each team played 38 games. The two best clubs were promoted to the 2011/12 Premjer League , while the last five were relegated to the third-class 2nd division .

Before the season

The five zone winners of the 2nd division were promoted to the 1st division. Last year's ascent of Alania Wladikawkas in the Premier League and the withdrawal of Vitjas Podolsk from the 1st Division were two more places free, which were awarded to Dynamo Bryansk and Rotor Volgograd. They were the only ones from the second and third places in the 2nd division who met the requirements of the 1st division.
