The 1st Yugoslav Football League 1948/49 was the 20th season of the highest Yugoslav division in men's football . It began on September 12, 1948 and ended on May 1, 1949.

FK Partizan Belgrade got its second championship title with a total of 29 points in the table. The FK Red Star Belgrade was able to celebrate its new or second cup victory.
