25 years of Karat - Das Konzert is the second live album by the German rock group Karat from 2001.

The anniversary concert recorded on September 9, 2000, which was part of the Karat meets Classic tour , took place in the sold-out Parkbühne Wuhlheide in front of over 17,000 people in Berlin . Numerous guests appeared during the concert; For example, Thomas Kurzhals in I touched the moon with my hand , Thomas Natschinski in I love every hour , Peter Maffay in Mich, nobody gets on his knees and Over seven bridges as well as Ulrich "Ed" Swillms in Die Glocke 2000 , Nobody forces me up Knee and over seven bridges . Herbert Dreilich's son Claudius , who succeeded Karat as a singer after his death in 2004, sang a Karat title in public for the first time during this concert ( evening mood ). After all, this performance should not be insignificant for his later choice as a karat singer. The Babelsberg Film Orchestra under the direction of Scott Lawton stood by the band throughout the concert. The versions of the Karat songs that can be heard on this album appear even more sedate than the originals due to the background music from the symphony orchestra (e.g. Swan King , Bell Two Thousand , The Ocean ). In titles like I love every hour , The eighth day or The blue planet with its drum solo (partly not included on the CD), longer solos and improvisations are accommodated. In addition to the concert excerpts, the CD album contains three bonus tracks (studio recordings of new songs) and an enhanced track (a video clip of music from a non-existent film and The Swan King ). Neither the VHS nor the DVD nor the CD contain the entire concert. Some titles (such as Albatros ) are still not published.
