This discography is an overview of the musical works of the German rock - band carat . The most successful studio album in Germany was the album The Blue Planet at number 8 in the charts. There were no album charts in the GDR. The most successful title in the GDR, based on evaluations of the rating programs of the GDR radio, was King of the World at number 1 in the GDR's annual hit parade , with Karat being one of the most successful bands on this list. In the FRG there were three singles in the charts: You must go over seven bridges , The blue planet and Every hour .
