I love every hour is the anniversary album for the 25th anniversary of the German rock group Karat from 2000.
content
I love every hour consists largely of a selection of old hits from all of the group's previous studio albums (with the exception of Karat 91 ), but it's not a pure best-of collection. Four completely new songs ( Nobody can do that like you , Where are you?, Little things and Let the light in ) and three new versions of old songs ( Every Hour , Bell Two Thousand and Swan King ) were released on the sound carrier . The new titles are shaped by Herbert Dreilich's own fate, namely his stroke , and their optimistic mood testifies to his newly gained attitude towards life. The album was released as a normal CD album with 18 tracks as well as a limited double CD edition in a digipack with an additional 14 songs. The artwork of I love every hour contains many pictures from the 25 years of the band's history as well as a chronicle in which important stages in the group's career are noted.
As a single, the remake I love every hour was decoupled from the original version Every Hour .
Remarks
Herbert Dreilich wrote the following accompanying text, which was printed in the booklet: “ Actually, when you go down a path, you should keep your gaze strictly forward in order not to stumble. But in order to gain new strength you have to rest and I think that sometimes a little look over the shoulder is allowed. 25 years of KARAT, a stumbling block with ups and downs in a rapidly passing time, characterized by profound political turbulence. But: We are there and feel like we were at the beginning, full of new ideas, songs and experiences, some of which we have already implemented on this CD. We would like to take this opportunity to thank our friends, who have accompanied us part of the way, for their commitment and the many happy hours with which they have enriched the band. Many thanks to Peter Maffay and band for 20 years of committed and honest friendship. Many thanks to D.Th. Heck and Mrs. Hildchen for their heartfelt commitment. Many thanks to all employees of MDR , ZDF , N3 , ARD ... Many thanks to all fans and friends who have been with us over the years and who keep building us up. Finally, a short look over my shoulder, I can say with a smile: I don't regret a single one - No, I want to say: I love every hour . "
