10 years carats - On the way to you is the first live album of the German rock group carats from the year 1985. The-heard live document was compiled from three concerts, which until 24 November 1984 of 22 Steintor Varieté Halle took place . The album was released at the same time in the GDR and the Federal Republic of Germany , but with different artwork.

content

Since the sixth studio album, intended for publication for the tenth anniversary of Karat, was not yet finished, Amiga recorded this live album practically as a bridging. The repertoire draws on the best-known titles from Karat's first five LPs. Musically, in addition to the technically solid live presentation of the songs, the record offers plenty of space for solo interludes by individual musicians (for example the drum solo in Der Blaue Planet , the keyboard and bass solo in Don Alfredo , the harmonica solo in And I Love you or the guitar solo in How far does the dove fly ). On the way to you is Karat's first album, on which you can hear their long-time keyboardist Thomas Kurzhals, initially in support of Ulrich "Ed" Swillms . Thomas Natschinski was a guest musician on the harmonica .

As a single for the tenth anniversary of the band, the studio recorded tracks Hab 'den Mond touched by hand (later included in a modified version on the album Fifth Season ) and the non-album track Hallelujah World were released. In 1995, on the way to you appeared with a rearranged title sequence and with the lack of some titles ( Over seven bridges , And I love you , King of the world , evening mood and How far does the dove fly ) on CD under the name Tanz mit mir . The only complete CD version of the album is included in the 2010 CD box I love every hour .
