Roman Empire
- March: In the course of the Jewish War , the Roman general Titus begins the siege of Jerusalem on the day of Passover . According to Flavius Josephus, around three million people were in the city at this time.
- Mid-June: The attack on the city can be temporarily repulsed by the defenders.
- July: First parts of the city are captured.
- August 6th : The temple service could no longer be carried out due to the Jewish War. This ended the approximately thousand-year-old cult activity of the Jews, which was oriented towards the temple .
- August: Destruction of the Herodian Temple .
- August 30th : Jerusalem is conquered by the Romans.
- September: Titus drives the Jews out of Jerusalem. In memory of this, the Arch of Titus was donated in Rome after Titus' death .
- Suppression of an uprising of the Celtic-Germanic Treveri against the Romans (Moselle area).
- The Batavians beat the Romans at Bonn Fort and destroy the Vetera legionary camp . Nevertheless, the Batavian revolt was put down after a year.
