During the 2004 NHL Entry Draft , the defender was selected in the sixth round as the 173rd player overall by the Calgary Flames .
In the 2005/06 season Pardy received a place in the farm team of the Flames, the Omaha Ak-Sar-Ben Knights from the American Hockey League (AHL). In the same season, Pardy also played 41 games for the Las Vegas Wranglers from the ECHL . Although he was appointed to the Flames' NHL squad twice in December 2007, he was not used. His debut in the National Hockey League was Pardy on October 9, 2008 in the Flames' first season game against the Vancouver Canucks .
On July 1, 2011, he received a contract with the Dallas Stars as a free agent . After spending the following season in the dress of the Buffalo Sabers , Pardy signed a one-year contract with the Winnipeg Jets in July 2013 . This was extended twice before Pardy was sent to the Jets farm team via the waiver in February 2016 and was signed by the Edmonton Oilers . In Edmonton, the defender ended the 2015/16 season, but received no further contract.
After a trial training session with the Florida Panthers was unsuccessful, the Springfield Thunderbirds , the Panthers farm team from the AHL, signed him in October 2016. Just two weeks later, the Thunderbirds gave him to the Milwaukee Admirals in a multi-player swap within the league . With the Admirals, on the other hand, Pardy convinced with his performances, so that the Nashville Predators equipped him with an NHL contract in November 2016. This expired in July 2017 without an extension. It wasn't until the beginning of January 2018 that the Canadian found a new employer at Frölunda HC from Svenska Hockeyligan . There he ended the season and then joined the Newfoundland Growlers from the ECHL . At the end of his career, the 35-year-old won the Kelly Cup with the Growlers .
