Henderson played twelve years in the National Basketball Association , including nine years for the Atlanta Hawks, where he had his most successful period and in 1998 was named the NBA Most Improved Player , the most improved player of the season. He also had his best athletic time this year with 14.8 points and 6.4 rebounds. After that, his performance stagnated and after a serious injury in the 2001/02 season he could not find his way back to his old performance. In 2004 he was transferred to the Dallas Mavericks . There, as in the last two stations in Cleveland and Philadelphia, it was only used sporadically. In his career, Henderson scored 7.8 points and 5.0 rebounds on average.
