NBA

Indiana Pacers (2005-2014)

In the 2005 NBA Draft , Granger was selected 17th by the Indiana Pacers , for which he was active in the NBA until 2014 . In 2006 he was named to the NBA All-Rookie Second Team . Danny Granger was named to the All-Star Game for the first time in his career in 2009 . This season he had his best year with 25.8 points per game. He also received the NBA Most Improved Player Award for Most Improved Player of the Season. In the following season he also proved his scoring skills with 24.1 points per game. On March 26, 2010, Granger set a personal career record with 44 points against the Utah Jazz .

He participated in the 2010 World Basketball Championship for the USA and won the title. In the years that followed, he remained an efficient scorer for the Pacers. However, he suffered a kneecap injury, so he was only able to play in five games in 2012/13 . He returned for the 2013/14 season , but at this point lost his regular place to Paul George and Lance Stephenson , who had increased enormously during his injury. In addition, Granger seemed deprived of his explosive style of play by the injury.

Los Angeles Clippers (2014)

On February 20, 2014, Granger was transferred to the Philadelphia 76ers in exchange for Evan Turner and Lavoy Allen . For the 76ers, however, Granger did not play a game and immediately agreed with the team on a contract termination. He then signed a contract offer from the Los Angeles Clippers , with which he reached the play-offs in March 2014. There the team failed in the semifinals of the Western Conference to the Oklahoma City Thunder .

Miami Heat (2014-2015)

After the end of the season, Granger's contract ran out and he left the Clippers again. For the 2014/2015 season, Granger then signed a two-year contract with the Miami Heat . He got 6.3 points and 2.7 rebounds in 30 games. Shortly before the end of the trade deadline, he was transferred to the Phoenix Suns in an exchange in February 2015 . He was not used for the Suns due to knee problems. In summer 2015 he was transferred to the Detroit Pistons , which released him from his contract before the start of the season.
