Alex Trivellato (born January 5, 1993 in Bolzano ) is a German - Italian ice hockey player who has been playing for the Krefeld Penguins in the German Ice Hockey League since November 2017 .
Career
Alex Trivellato began his playing career at HC Trento and moved to SSV Laives in 2008 . For both clubs he played in the Italian U20 league. In 2009 he moved across the Alps to Germany. After a year at ESV Kaufbeuren in the youth league, he played from 2010 to 2012 for the Eisbären Juniors Berlin in the German junior league . After spending the 2012/13 season at FASS Berlin in the Oberliga Nordost, he returned to the Eisbären and from then on played for their men's team in the German Ice Hockey League . During the 2014/15 season he was temporarily loaned to the Dresdner Eislöwen from the DEL2 . In the 2015/16 season he played - also on loan - for the Schwenninger Wild Wings , after having received German citizenship shortly before. At the beginning of the 2017/18 season he played for EC Bad Nauheim in the DEL2, in November 2017 he made the change to the Krefeld Penguins in the DEL.
International
In the junior sector, Trivellato took part in the U18 World Championships in Division I in 2009 and 2011 and in Division II in 2010 and in the U20 World Championships in Division I in 2012 and 2013 , when he was voted the best defender of the tournament and the best player on his team, part.
In the Italian men's national team , he made his debut at the 2014 World Cup in the top division. After the Italians could not keep the class there, he played in Division I in 2015 , 2016 and 2018. He also represented his colors in the Olympic qualification for the 2018 Winter Games in Pyeongchang .
