Career
Martin Schymainski comes from the junior division of EV Duisburg and played for the DNL team of Krefeld EV from 2001. In the 2004/05 season he played for the DEL team of the Krefeld Pinguine for the first time , but he completed the majority of the season (37 games) for the sponsorship license partner and his home club EV Duisburg, which was promoted to the DEL this season. Therefore, he was able to play for the EVD in Germany's top division in the 2005/06 season . After only eight games, he moved back to the second division. With the Straubing Tigers in 2006 the DEL was promoted again. For the 2006/07 season he signed a contract with the Iserlohn Roosters .
He was given a production license for the EV Landsberg , as the trainer of the Roosters, Geoff Ward , is good friends with the Landsberger coach Larry Mitchell . He had a contract until 2008, and there was also a mutual option for another year. In the 2008 season, Martin Schymainski also played inline skater hockey in the 1st Bundesliga North for the Highlander Lüdenscheid (15 points in 7 games), where he met his then team partner Michael Wolf from the Iserlohn Roosters and DEL professional Alexej Dmitriev .
For the 2008/09 season he moved to the Augsburger Panthers , since the Roosters did not withdraw their contract option, and got a license for the EHC Munich in Augsburg . With the EHC Munich, he made it to the DEL as champions of the 2nd Bundesliga in 2010 and then moved permanently to the Munich club.
In 2012 he returned to his hometown club.
