The 2008 season was the 13th season of the Inline Skaterhockey Bundesliga . A German champion will be determined for the 23rd time . The organizer is the Inline Skater Hockey Germany Sports Commission of the German Rolling Sports and Inline Association . The main round started on March 8, 2008. German champions were the Duisburg Ducks , which prevailed against the Highlander Lüdenscheid in the final .

The North and South relays start with nine teams each. Within each season, each team meets every other team in the return leg. There are two points for a win and one point for a draw. In the event of a tie at the end of the main round, the direct comparison decides on the ranking. The first four teams of each season reach the play-offs. The winner of the play-offs is German champions.

The teams in positions five and six have been relegated. The teams in ranks seven and eight play a cross-play play-down series. The winners remain in the 1st Bundesliga, the losers compete in the relegation against the second of the two seasons of the 2nd Bundesliga. The winners of the two relegation series will play in the 1st Bundesliga next season. The teams in ninth place (north and south) are relegated directly to the 2nd Bundesliga. The two champions of the 2nd Bundesliga go straight to the 1st Bundesliga.

The relegation games are played in a two-legged manner. The overall winner of a relegation series results from the addition of both games. The two losers of the play-downs meet the second division of the 2nd Bundesliga: Salt City Boars Lüneburg (North) and Badgers Spaichingen .
