The 2012 season is the 17th season of the Inline Skaterhockey Bundesliga , in which a German champion is determined for the 27th time . The organizer is the Inline Skater Hockey Germany Sports Commission of the German Rolling Sports and Inline Association . This season the 1st Bundesliga will be played on a single track for the first time since the 2000 season. The qualification for this took place in the 2011 season.

The 1st Bundesliga consists of 12 teams. The first five placed from the north and south seasons from the 2011 season are directly qualified. According to the rules, the two sixth placed play another starting place in a relegation, as do the two champions from the 2nd national leagues north and south.

In fact, the Rostock coatis were the first in the 2nd division north to renounce promotion, so that the first two of the 2nd division south, TSV Bernhardswald and HC Merdingen, contested the relegation for the promotion spot. Bernhardswald won this relegation, but was unable to offer its own covered venue that would meet the requirements for the first division and decided not to consider alternatives, as these would have been too expensive. Since then HC Merdingen also renounced the costly promotion, the loser of the relegation relegation, the Crash Eagles Kaarst , moved to the last remaining free first division place at the green table.

The 1st Bundesliga starts with twelve teams. Each team meets every other team in the first and second leg. There are two points for a win and one point for a draw. In the event of a tie at the end of the main round, the direct comparison decides on the ranking. The first eight teams reach the play-offs. The teams in positions nine and ten have qualified for the next season. The teams in positions eleven and twelve will be relegated directly to the 2nd Bundesliga. The winner of the play-offs is German champions.

Climbers

From the 2nd Bundesliga, the Bremerhaven Whales (1st of the North season) and the Rostock coatis (3rd of the North season) are promoted directly to the 1st Bundesliga. Rostock moved up after the teams in the south, TSV Schwabmünchen , IHC Atting and HC Merdingen, as well as the north second, the Salt City Boars Lüneburg , had waived.
