The league starts with seven teams. Each team meets every other team in the first and second leg and in a game on a neutral pitch. There are two points for a win and one point for a draw. The Crash Eagles Kaarst are the first and the Bullskater Düsseldorf / Team Rams are second in the promotion round from the Rhineland League. The Rams spin off for the 1987 season and set up an independent club called Düsseldorf Rams .

    Outsourcing

In the course of 1986 the Skaterhockey Club Cologne was founded, which was spun off from the RSC Rhineland. Until the end of the 1986 season, the team was still listed as RSC Rheinland Köln / Team Deutz in the official tables. The association only noted the spin-off on January 1, 1987. For the 1987 season, the team takes over the place of the RSC team from Deutz in the league under the name SCC Deutzer Haie. The ISHD is already leading the first German champion under the name SCC Deutzer Haie.

    fusion

The Cologne-Niehl team and the Cologne-Vingst team in RSC Rhineland will join forces for the coming season to form RSC Rhineland Cologne / Team Vingst.
