The 2003 season was the 8th season of the Inline Skaterhockey Bundesliga . A German champion was determined for the 18th time . The organizer is the Inline Skater Hockey Germany Sports Commission of the German Rolling Sports and Inline Association . The German champions became the Duisburg Ducks , who were able to prevail in the final against the Samurai Iserlohn .

The North and South Relays should start with ten teams each. The Piranhas Oberhausen had withdrawn from the northern season before the first game. The club was considered the first relegated team and played in the second Bundesliga North in the 2004 season. Within each season, each team meets every other team in the return leg. There are two points for a win and one point for a draw. In the event of a tie at the end of the main round, the direct comparison decides on the ranking. The first four teams of each season reach the play-offs. The winner of the play-offs is German champions.

The teams in ranks five to eight have qualified for the new season. The table ninth and table tenth of both seasons are relegated directly to the 2nd Bundesliga. The two champions of the 2nd Bundesliga go straight to the 1st Bundesliga.
