Laurin Braun (born February 18, 1991 in Lampertheim , Hessen ) is a German ice hockey player who has been under contract with the Krefeld Penguins from the German Ice Hockey League since 2019 . His brother Constantin is a ice hockey player with the Eisbären Berlin .
Career
Laurin Braun began his career as an ice hockey player with Eisbären Juniors Berlin , with whom he played in the school league. In 2006 he switched to the young eagles Mannheim , for whom he was on the ice for a year in the German Junior League . In the summer of 2007, the attacker moved back to Berlin. In his first season he came first for the Eisbären Juniors Berlin in the ice hockey league , as well as their DNL team, to at least 20 missions each.
Equipped with a sponsorship license , Braun began the 2008/09 season with the Eisbären Juniors in the ice hockey league . During the season he made his debut in the DEL for the Eisbären Berlin . In the 2009/10 season he played with a license to support the Dresdner Eislöwen in the 2nd Bundesliga . From 2010 to 2017 he was active with the polar bears, with whom he became German champions in 2011, 2012 and 2013 and won the European Trophy in 2010. For the 2017/18 season he moved to ERC Ingolstadt .
International
Laurin Braun was used in several international tournaments for the German U17 and U18 selection. First he took part in the U18 World Junior Championship in 2009 , where he scored two goals and two assists in six games. Later he was a regular player in the German U20 team and took part in the U20 Junior World Championship in Division I in 2010 . The U20 team made it unbeaten and made it back to the top division, in which he played the following year .
In the 2013/14 season he made his debut in the men's national team .
